2 Main exam : This main exam consist of descriptive part of exam this exam consist of nine exam , but the marks of 7 exam will only get counted for the merit of final exam . For the rest of two exam the aspirant should score minimum marks which is decided by UPSC board  to get selected for the next phase of exam .

3 Interview ; This the last and the final phase of exam and it consider to be one the most difficult phase of exam .
