All about Joint Entrance Examination – 

IIT-JEE is named as indian institute of technology – joint entrance examination to take admission in colleges like  IIT (indain institute of technology), NIT(national institute of technology), GFTI (government funded institute ) . It consist of two parts JEE-Main and JEE- Advanced. JEE main is conducted by now  NTA(National Testing Agency) previously it was conducted by CBSE and JEE- Advanced is conducted by any of the prestigious IIT per year, this year it will conducted by IIT Roorkee. NTA conduct JEE ie, joint entrance examination twice a year first in the month of january and secondly in april , however students can sit in the examination both of time and best of two marks will be considered while deciding the rank.

Joint Entrance Examination – 

eligibility criteria 

 

there are following eligibility criteria in order to get admission in IIT or to sit in this particular examination conducted by NTA( national testing agency )

  • candidate  should score a minimum of 75% in the class XII board examination.

 

  • Must be in the top 20 percentile marks of the board exam( if not scored 75% in their respective board examination)

 

  • There were several changes made in the exam from 2018. The Joint Admission Board (JAB) decided to conduct the entire exam online from 2018 since it reduces chances of paper leak and makes logistics and evaluation easier.
  • It said that the online exam will neutralise the problem of misprinting.
  • The number of students appearing for the JEE (Advanced) has been increased by 400000, which was earlier 2,20,00
  • poor and needy students  get reservation like another government examination however it is not government exam
  • it is the exam to get seat in reputed college of india which is discussed above

after clearing this examination students can take admission in BTECH and BARCH

 you can prepare for this examination online and can do offline by enrolling in reputed coaching in you area however you can start preparing by yourself by sitting in home itself by following some youtube channel
